When the Gail’s were on their Gailcation at Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa we had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant located inside of the hotel called Drift Kitchen & Bar. Being in such a prime location at this resort it took all the guess work of the dreaded “what do you want for lunch? or dinner”. This laid back and coastal chic restaurant not only is esthetically pleasing but your taste buds will be left wanting to try more. Plus it has the most amazing view of the beach pool and ocean itself.
From the delicious, specialty crafted cocktails and martinis to the wine menu, no detail was left to spare when it came to the drinks menu. As in our last overview article, the resort itself the gails put in the hard research to try a variety of these cocktails. Its a tough job but hey someone has to do it right!
Now, if you are like us then you are in need of some savory bites to go along with your libations. We actually ended up having lunch and dinner at Drift and to say we were impressed every time was an understatement. With a brick pizza oven pumping out decadent pies and several dishes featuring their hand made pastas there really is something for everyone. For lunch, we couldn’t help ourselves and ended up ordering their house made meatballs along with a Spinach & Ricotta pizza twice!! For dinner, the decadent pastas made an appearance and lets just say it was worth having to wear your stretchiest jeans for.
We were so over the moon about the food here we are sill talking about it and trying to find any excuse to visit sooner rather then later. If you find yourself in the area we cannot recommend Dift Kitchen & Bar enough and make sure you call up to get yourself a reservation.
